Garry Jules..it goes without saying his cover of Mad World is understated, moving, beautiful and poignant not something that could be attributed to TFF, and their irritating childish pap..sadly they are still at it!

Tears for fears is better. The other one is boring.

I like Gary Jules's version. it was used to collect money for the tsunami victims. Very appropriate.

All right, if it was for a good deet. But still, it is too slow.

Hmm, well annoying or not TFF did write the song so I wuld give them the greatest compliments. I actually liked a lot of otheir songs but in this case Gary does a better job of bringing the song's emotional side up and I think it' a better song this way. He's one of the very few who havee comeout with a good cover of a song, seen someting else in it and changed the song to reveal that emotion.
cheers

ohh come on the tempo is not important, listen to the realisim in his voice, and the simple beauty of the piano to rush such a gorgeous piece of work would have totally destroyed the meaning that he was trying to get across......

The stark emotion in GJ's voice,is reminiscant of Michael Stipe, in Everybody Hurts....perfection...

my vote has to go with garry jule's version too. listening to the tears for fears version i'm always struck by how dated it sounds now! a splended revival i think!

Well and even if I am the only one who likes Tears for Fears more - I don't change my opinion, hahaha.
